- Augustin Sayer is a GP at OVNI Capital, a VC seed fund specializing in France-based tech startups. Previously he was a Partner at Newfund, a french-american fund where he oversaw 20 investments in companies such as FairMoney, the largest African neo-bank, and Umiami, a plant-based texture techn company. Augustin started his career in 2008 at Lazard in their M&A team in NYC. He then joined Colony Capital in their investment team. In 2015, he moved to Mexico to start Rescata, a chain of phone repair stores, and from 2017 until late 2022 was at Newfund.
