Founder and Chairman

CES Government (GBEF)

A globally-recognized expert on government technology and management, Don Upson has a record of vision and leadership in both government and business. From staff director of the US House of Representatives key oversight committee to the first state-level Secretary of Technology (Virginia), Upson’s background and recognition in government circles is extensive. His business experience includes tenure as Chief Operating Officer of a $300 million government technology firm (UNICOM Global) and senior vice president of a major systems integrator, PRC Inc (now part of Northrop Grumman). In 2006, Upson formed the Government Business Executive Forum (GBEF) where he currently serves as Founder and Chairman. The GBEF is a network of senior government technology executives, primarily from the US National Capitol Region, but with members from across the United States and around the world. The GBEF produces an annual calendar of prestigious meetings and discussions, all of which lead to the GBEF’s flagship annual summit and government technology’s premier global conference: CES Government at CES. The purpose of both the GBEF and CES Government is to enable important discussions and relationships among leaders making a difference in applying advanced technologies to government missions.
